This detached cottage has been equipped and tastefully furnished to a very good standard to ensure as comfortable and relaxing holiday as possible with your every need taken care of. The small village of Nethy Bridge has a shop, post office, a butchers and two hotels where you can enjoy some good food and drink. Part of the Speyside Way runs through the village, and from Taigh M’Athair there are numerous forest and riverside walks and mountain bike trails. The RSPB Nature Reserve of Loch Garten is just a few miles from the cottage. The popular and bustling town of Aviemore is only 12½ miles away, situated in the heart of the Cairngorms National Park and at the head of the Speyside Way. The area boasts a very wide range of outdoor activities including skiing and snowboarding, mountain biking, quad biking, zorbing, zip lining, climbing and hill walking. There’s also a variety of water sports on Loch Insh, Loch Morlich and the River Spey. Take a trip on the Cairngorm mountain funicular railway and visit the Cairngorm Reindeer Centre or the Highland Wildlife Park at nearby Kingussie which are all within easy reach. You may wish to visit the lovely Spey Valley Golf Course and the Dalfaber Resort with its wonderful array of leisure activities. A day trip to the Landmark Forest Adventure Park in nearby Carrbridge is a must as it’s a fun filled day for all ages.
