The Pantry is a wonderful cottage, perfect for a couple looking for that perfectly placed base from which to explore the Isle of Skye. The accommodation itself has been delivered to an excellent standard. It’s a very comfortable place to rest and recharge for more Skye adventures! There’s a well-equipped kitchen/dining area, separate living area, a spacious double bedroom with king-size bed and a modern bathroom. There’s space outside to sit and relax, and enjoy the long summer days late into the night!Situated under 10 miles from Portree, the cottage is located just off the road to Dunvegan; near the coast and the sheltered lochside village of Edinbane, with its Inn, Lodge and famous pottery. The real benefit of being on Lyndale Farm at The Pantry is how easy it is to get to the main sites of the island: The Trotternish Peninsula, with The Old Man of Storr; the Quiraing; Fary Glen and Duntulm, as well as other places, are all within half an hour by car. The Waternish peninsula, with the picturesque Lochbay and village of Stein, home to the oldest Inn in the Highlands, is only 15 minutes drive. Dunvegan Castle, Coral Beach and Point Neist Lighthouse are also just a short drive away. And the Talisker Distillery, the Fairy Pools and the Cuillin hiking routes are all within 45 minutes too. A pebble beach can be found just ½ mile away, whilst a sandy beach is 16 miles.The Pantry can be booked with Farm Cottage (UK32638) to accommodate up to 6 guests.
