The apartment is situated in open farmland, yet just a mile from the sweeping sandy beach of Portmahomack. A wide variety of birds and wildlife can be spotted directly from the garden. Just 2 miles along the lane is the pretty fishing village of Portmahomack, with its horseshoe shaped beach and attractive harbour. There are stunning views to the hills beyond. The village offers a choice of restaurants as well as a pub, café and a golf course which is open to visitors. There are beautiful coastal walks direct from the property. Within 10 minutes’ drive is Tain, the oldest Royal Burgh of Scotland. This charming, historic town has an excellent selection of small shops, restaurants, cafés and pubs, as well as a wide variety of sporting and recreational facilities and a fascinating museum. There is plenty to see and do in the area. Nearby places of interest include the Whisky Distillery Centre, home of Glenmorangie single malt; the famous Falls of Shin, one of the few places to see salmon leaping close to hand; and the enchanting town of Dornoch, with its magnificent cathedral, award-winning sandy beach and championship golf course.
