Our regional team recommends
Spend the day at Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park. Start with a 1 hour cruise exploring the southern section of the loch. Next explore the hidden gardens and extensive grounds of Balloch Castle Country Park, which offers beautiful views over Loch Lomond. The famously twee conservation village of Luss is 15 minutes from Balloch. Film location for Scottish soap 'High Road', it has gift shops, tearooms and river/loch side walks. Finally travel three miles north to Firkin Point, perfect for photographs, or a picnic, with views north and south over Loch Lomond.
